Any Stock Ideas?
Apart from news articles and hearing from friends or stock brokers, there are many other ways to get good stock ideas for your analysis. One way is to use an online stock screener while another way is to simply follow the guru or experts!
Also, certain individuals e.g. CEOs, company directors etc known as 'insider' are required to declare publicly whenever they buy or sell company shares. This might be another source of stock idea.

One of the best way to get ideas is from a stock screener! You can set filter criteria for stocks based on 'Fundamental' Analysis or 'Technical' Analysis. For example if you are looking at cheap and fundamentally strong company stocks, you can use the following filter criteria as per screenshot below. i.e. P/E ratio < 15, Return on Equity >15%, EPS growth past 5 years >0% etc.
2) GuruFocus

Another way to get ideas is from guru e.g. Warren Buffett himself. There are also many other value investor gurus such as "Seth Klarman" or "Howard Marks". Look out for their recent stock purchases i.e. 'Add' or 'New Buy' and see if any of these current stock prices are below the gurus's average buying price. This means opportunity for you to buy at a cheaper price than your guru!
3) Insider Trading

The screenshot below shows the 'Summary' tab of Apple Inc where there is 'Valuation chart' on the right.
